VOICES FROM THE FRONTLINES: How Two Santiago Churches Are Living Out Gospel Unity in Santiago, Dominican Republic

Love in Action: How Two Santiago Churches Are Living Out Gospel Unity

Since our last conference, which was hosted by Pastor Smith and the Haitian congregation in Yaguita de Pastor, we have witnessed a beautiful display of love and unity in the Gospel between their church and Pastor Francisco’s church. This is especially meaningful even during these difficult times often seen between the two nations, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Demonstrating this unity practically, while Pastor Smith’s congregation’s building was being remodeled, Pastor Francisco’s church graciously opened their doors, allowing them to use their building to meet and worship. Furthermore, brothers and sisters from Pastor Smith’s congregation have been actively helping Pastor Francisco’s church during their worship times and assisting them in learning to play musical instruments. They recently came together again to worship, share a meal, and enjoy a time of fellowship.

Reflecting on this recent gathering, Pastor Francisco shared these words:

“Greetings,

We recently had a wonderful lunch time with our Haitian and Dominican brothers. We were all very grateful to the Lord for His goodness throughout this time, after sharing the word of God, encouraging good works among us as a testimony of Christ, and having fellowship one with another.

The gospel is multicultural; we have one Lord, one Savior, and all united we are one body in Christ. Although we may be of different languages or nationalities, in Christ we are one people, one body. Thanks to the Biblical Christian Missionary Society for its support and collaboration and for intentionally fostering a gospel culture.

All the glory to our God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

In Christ,

Pastor Francisco Rosario

Soli Deo Glora
