Rafael Rodriguez Sharing Christ in Maracay, Venezuela

This past Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, marked our first time partnering with a community center to share the Gospel with the visitors and the staff and offer some practical assistance. The center is called the “Grandparents House” and is a vital community center that provides warm lunches three times a week to vulnerable individuals in our neighborhood. It’s important to clarify that it isn’t a residential home for the elderly, but rather a place of compassionate service. By God’s providence, it’s located just two blocks from our new worship location and most of the people that go there in search of a meal live in the same community.

During our initial visit, we shared the Gospel and brought 60 arepas and juice for those who come seeking a meal. It was observed that the staff was also listening intently to the message during the teaching and there was some good interaction from several people. We are deeply grateful for this open door, which will enable us to share the Word weekly and demonstrate Christ’s love in tangible ways. Moving forward, we have committed to being present every Wednesday to provide a breakfast, a time in the Word, and assistance with crucial medications, as many of these individuals face significant financial hardship. Pray for us as we begin to meet more people in the area near the new meeting place to follow up with.

Please join us in prayer:
- That we may be faithful in preaching the Gospel and loving these people, reflecting the love and compassion of our Savior, Jesus.
- That the Lord would continue to open doors for the proclamation of the Gospel throughout our community.
- For those dedicated individuals who manage “Grandparents House,” who were receptive to the message we shared.
- For the salvation of souls, that as the Gospel reaches their ears, God would change their hearts.
- That the Lord would be glorified through our ongoing outreach through the “Grandparents House.”
