Compassion in Action (Maracay, Venezuela)
“We are grateful for the Lord’s grace and His care and provision.

We continue to preach and show the love of God in Christ to the residents of the Coromoto community. Yesterday, by the grace of the Lord, we were able to bring food to the home for the elderly, a place where many vulnerable people go three times a day for lunch since they have no way to prepare it on their own.
Our congregation is assisting on Wednesday mornings (9:00 am) to bring them breakfast, some arepas and juice or coffee, and we also take advantage of that time to preach, and we have had good conversations with many of them. We pray that the Lord may grant salvation.
We were able to provide support so that they can have a different menu and give this donation in food and medicine. Thanks to God and His provision, this cause can happen and alleviate, in some way, the suffering of many people. Regularly, between 50 to 60 people attend.

Here, medicines are very expensive, and we were able to supply some of the elderly who suffer from high blood pressure so they can have that pill on hand. We were able to give pproximately 300 pills.
We ask that the Lord’s grace and compassion may abound day by day in our hearts for all those who suffer and do not have the gospel, and that this may be a motivation to go and proclaim Christ to them.
The people who regularly cook in this place are 5 (4 women and 1 man). They also show good spirits when they listen to the Gospel or teaching. We ask that you include them in your prayers.

Thanks be to God to those who give so that this can be accomplished. May the Lord prosper you for your generosity.
The peace of Christ be with us all.”
In Christ,
Rafael Rodríguez
