The following is an update from Rafael Rodriguez on the new work

“Misión Bíblica Comunidad de Gracia” in Central Maracay:

My beloved, here is a small report of the things the Lord has done here in Maracay, Venezuela.

About four months ago, amid much uncertainty and fear, but in prayer and with much advice from friends and pastors, I made a rather significant decision for my family and the ministry the Lord has given me. To start a new biblical mission in my city.

Although my own plans were to take two or three months of “rest” and then start strongly with preaching and begin the mission, from the very Sunday I left the local church, from that first Sunday, the Lord began to send people, and today we are a small community that has committed to one another.

Without a doubt, these brothers and sisters sent by God to our mission were the confirmation that the Lord wanted a beacon of grace, a new light, a biblical church to exist in this community.

We spent about three months meeting in my apartment. By the grace of the Lord, we have now managed to rent a place, and we are looking and being intentional about how we can serve our community where the Lord has placed us.

We are studying the Gospel of John under a series titled (Christ, The Great Revelation of God), and in Sunday school, we have started a series on the attributes of God.

By the grace of the Lord, brother Irving Aponte, one of the brothers in the mission, is helping me in the Sunday school teaching; the children are also being taught about the attributes of God in Sunday school.

I ask for prayer, as I have a trip planned for March 15th to the neighboring country of Colombia, to visit a biblical church that will support us in the entire process of our constitution as a church. We also continue to network with pastors and leaders in Venezuela to build relationships for the sake of partnering for the biblical gospel and the expansion of the church in Venezuela. Pray for us.

Grace and peace.

In Christ,

Rafael Rodríguez
